Jimi Poem by dan hightower

Jimi

Sterling silver shining shimmer of glorious rebuke
We traverse the hemispheres of your cortex with alacrity
And splice the action into our television
To watch the jumping thoughts like fleeing fleas on dog’s backs
from pure death,400 horsepower, running down the highway like a slug from a.45
Black sunshine
But the skinny shininess shims the edges like rebutted glory in sterling
Casting stones, gallstones and rock-eaters
The empress is dying from nothing overtaking everything
Ride the luck-dragon, he is long, seven miles, to the ancient lake
To find the human who will save fantasia
From the waning hemispheres of your cortex as you eagerly traverse the imagination
Screens of tvs blast the newest news to the nosiest nosers
Fleas jumping dogs in dark alleys watching fleeing memories
Big block chevy revs the dying light, bleak moonshine
Skinny shiny happy people fight the powers that be
Like you
Like me
As I am looking out my belly-button window
I see a whole lotta frowns
So if you don’t want me this tyme around
I guess I’ll go back to swimmin’ round…
