Joan Cronin Poem by Francis Duggan

Joan Cronin

Joan Cronin nee Noonan ofCoolinarne died at ninety eight years
Her many friends and her family have farewelled her in tears
To her late husband Denis a devoted wife
A great grandmother she was a good person who lived an honourable life
One who was kind and humble for to give to her what was her due
To her higher self one who did live true
Gone from Coolinarne a well known and loved face
And without her it surely is a poorer place
Respect to her memory one only can pay
A shy and caring person and humble in her way
In her long life by good example she did lead
And the news of her passing was sad of to read
One can only hope her passing from life was a painless release
In St Mary's in Millstreet she now is at peace.
