Joe Ricotta | The Dawning Hour Poem by Joe Ricotta

Joe Ricotta | The Dawning Hour

The dawning hour takes her first breath
rising high bringing warmth to the earth
flowering blossoms stand tall greeting her
as the sun begins to fire up the hearth.

Jade grasses and leaves sashay in the wind
while the light moves onward giving birth
animals start their routines as they shuffle and stir
for they shall put in a full days worth.

Insects buzz around as the birds chirp and sing
butterflies flutter through the air with great mirth
the gorgeous landscapes are nice and bright
in a world of plenty where there is no dearth.
