Journey To Freedom! Poem by Denis Martindale

To think, that God can raise the dead, means He can heal us, too,
So let's think back to what Christ said, despite what sinners do.
There is a wondrous hope in Him the Cross of Christ revealed,
Not borne of fantasy, or whim, nor that God kept concealed.
While some have seen with their own eyes the sorrows of the past,
That haunt their dreams until hope dies within their hearts at last,
God grants Christ's share of perfect love, like sunshine to appear,
God grants sufficient grace enough, such that their troubles clear.
The Father showed Christ crucified, with no man left in doubt
Who loves the Saviour who once died to cast our demons out.
Lord Jesus is the reason for the freedom we received,
Eternally, forevermore, from when we first believed.
Amazing grace worth more than gold enfolds us still somehow,
The greatest story ever told continues even now.
