Joyful Flowers Poem by Marilyn Lott

Joyful Flowers

Are getting tired of winter?
Are you feeling kind of cold?
Well it won’t be long, my friend
Before summer clothes are sold

And with warmth the buds
Of trees and flowers pop open
After a cold winter of course
It’s what we all are hoping

For flowers are uplifting
They make us smile so sweet
They change our temper so
We hug those that we greet

Flowers smell so pleasant
Their fragrance so superb
They fill the house and yard
Happiness is then the word

But first, my friend, we must
Finish the rest of the year
Presents for Christmas now
Will bring some winter cheer

So when you get so tired
Of snow and rain showers
Remember how important it is
To bring springs joyful flowers!
