Judge me not
For what you think
You see by my poetry
Which was versed
From my heart's desires
Blanketed in prose as
No one really knows
The man behind his words!

Some might think of me to be
A player in a game of love
Yet this is the furthest
from my truth since
It can only be seen or felt
By the reader's
Thoughts and mind!

Passing judgment can be
One's biggest mistake seeing
Only the facade yet to
To the beholder of
My deepest affections for
She can feel my truth!

So judge me not
I take no offense
To the lack of common sense
To recognize that Poetry is
Imagination and creation
The expression of emotions
And my innermost feelings
The essence of who I really am!
