Juliette's Dream Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Juliette's Dream

While walking on a cold Fall day traveling down a wooded path.
Juliette noticed birds she'd never seen before playing with a cat.
Amazing as this seemed Juliette continued right along.
The reason for her travel haste was because of a distant song.

Up ahead lies Pixie pond where young children make a wish.
Her wish to make was soon forgotten because of singing fish.
Knowing time was passing by- She had to say farewell.
Something lingered in the air that gave a pleasant smell.

A patch of flowers on her way were growing by a log.
One flower said, 'They're making pies in the village Frog.'
Wonders were at every turn along this wooded trail.
She even saw a rabbit running in a race- Losing to a snail.

Deep in the woods Juliette could hear her mother calling out her name.
Telling her- It's time to wake up, or, for school she might be late.
So with a sad farewell Juliette waved goodbye to all her dreamlike friends.
But before too long she shall return- To Dreamland once again.
