June Twelfth Poem by Tony Adah

June Twelfth

Rating: 5.0

I have seen
Free and fair elections
Where the winner
Became a matyr of democracy
And a special republic
Was carved out for him.
We grieved that
His throne was thrown away
Prisoners became his subjects.
He presided here
And the rest is history!
