He looks at me
Asks me for
'Just a kiss? '

I say 'No,
I can't.
I can't do this
right now.'

Once again
I had to hold out
On a new experience
A new person
A new life

I felt bad
Wanted to feel good
Wanted to feel him close
But felt panic
Come over my whole body
Panic that brought
Acid

Acid in my stomach
That shot up my esphagus
Burning and eating away
Felt like crying
Felt like crawling in a whole
Felt like I was single again

Felt like I was in high school
Again
Butterflies can be painful
If they are even butterflies

I will feel this again
I know it
When I see him
Tomorrow
