Just Another Avenue. Poem by Saturday Chikezie Promise

Just Another Avenue.

Every new beginning,
comes from some beginnings end.

Everytime I am hurt,
I am born again.

Everytime you closed a door,
another one was opened.

And everytime you conjured your stories,
a different word was spoken.

Everytime you look at me,
my back will be faced to you,

Everytime you want to see me,
I'll have something else to do.

Every time I re-joined your game,
You were never playing fair,

And every time I tried to prove,
How much love I had for you,

You never cared. I'm just another avenue.
