Just Another Day Poem by joshua buckley

Just Another Day

Another day goes by, knowing you aren’t by my side.
Whispers from my heart and mind, wish for me to be so kind.
But you told me, this is true. I don’t wish to be with you!
Now I hold my broken heart, tightly clenching in the dark.
The past memories they do flood, within my mind just as they should.
And as I touch my love scared skin, I remember the memories that lie within...

(Sorry if it’s short or not good. I usually do better but I am distracted at this time.)

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
