twas just so
somebody else would know
the whole of me.

or because
i saw beyond your flaws
to who you are.

and your touch
was something felt ere such
an ecstacy

was my own.
your passion set the tone
we formed a star.

and with night
the verve of pure delight
that few may know,

(perchance gods
can boast of bliss as broad
as we possessed) ,

would descend
like manna heavens send.
the afterglow

seemed a boon
we dreamed beneath the moon,
thus were we blessed!

now you're gone
but memories live on
inside of me

and love still
not parted death until
and poetry.
