Just For Once Poem by indira babbellapati

Just For Once

wind blowing
in continuous sweeps
rain falling
in endless sheets
birds and bees
stilled in their nests
shake the heart
of its long drawn stillness
to assume
all ears and eyes
to catch the melody
of your approaching foot-steps
to absorb your prescence
just for once
before birds and bees
awaken to life...
