Just Listen To Nature Poem by Francis Duggan

Just Listen To Nature

Rating: 5.0

It rained in the darkness of early morning and it rained yesterday
And the currawongs singing more rain on the way
The weather is changing the birds are on song
Just listen to Nature she never gets it wrong.

White butterflies dancing in the warm sunlight
On this beautiful morning so breezy and bright
But the birds in their songs keep telling of rain
You leave it to Nature she will be right again.

The sun it is shining though it has rained overnight
But just listen to Nature she is always right
The currawongs singing on the taller trees
Their songs of rain carrying in the freshening breeze.

The magpies and blackbirds and shrike thrushes in song
And the sparrows chirp with them and the crows caw along
The sun's shining bright 'tis a beautiful day
But Nature keeps telling us rain is on the way.
