Just Perfect Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Just Perfect

For once in my life everything went right.
I missed bumping into the dresser
After waking up, stretching.
Knocking down all my Cologne again.
I was able to leave for work on time,
Taking my time getting ready. Listening to the music on my phone.
Not running into a slow driver the whole way there.
I met this perfect girl, with the perfect smile.
Ironic the way her smile eased into view
Like someone I already knew.
Beginning to talk like we haven't seen each other in a long time.
Choosing Instead to find something else to do by the no smoking sign
Than actually smoking.
Her awkwardness was perfect.
Not knowing what to say at the most opportune moment.
Meeting the girl of your dreams
Then meeting her husband ten minutes later
