The raging quiet
and the enemies within shrink
or thrive on my desperate fear.
Growing until my heart is sore
and they start to show in my eyes.
Glowing like swollen worms,
wrapped around my fingers.
Pressing on my temples
until my skull caves
and my blood runs clean.
Breeding like parasites
Breathing like embryos
Devouring from the inside.
