K.S.A. Poem by Elizabeth Walker

K.S.A.

Night blackened by the guise set in place by all the lies
Twisted webs of Secrets kept
Sleepless nights endless tears wept
Seeking that which was taboo
I never knew otherwise until I met you
Sentiments spoken from soul to soul
Each word tearing down part of a wall
A fortress constructed with every harsh word
All attempts at my heart would be deterred
Until you shown a beacon that dispersed the abyss
If that wasn't enough you sealed it with a kiss
Exhilarating yet heartfelt Flawless from the first taste
Your arms held me close and my fluttering heart raced
You breathed life into this vessel
Enabled me to be whole
No longer does the darkness
Creep inside my soul
