Kandila Ng Aking Buhay

Ang Kandila Ng Aking Buhay
ni Marcia E. Diego

(Salin ng “ The Candle of My Life” ni Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino)

Sinisindihan ko sa dilim ang kandila ng aking buhay,
Kung saan walang makikinabang
sa liwanag na taglay
Unti-unting natutunaw
hanggang maubos pati mitsa nito
Kaya liwanag ay naglaho!
Kung may isang taong magtiyagang mangalap,
At ipunin ang kandilang tunaw
Hubugin at mitsahan muli,
para sa isa pang pagkakataon.
Ang kandila kong ito,
sa dilim ay muling magliliwanag
at maglilingkod muli…..
Pagkatapos ay
Mamama-alam

Poem of the Day

poet Robert William Service

Just Home and Love! the words are small
Four little letters unto each;
And yet you will not find in all
The wide and gracious range of speech
Two more so tenderly complete:
