Kaonashi Poem by Sheri Green

Kaonashi

We walk about in colored array
Masked faces in this masquerade

Only seeing the guise that's displayed
Meandering until our minds have decayed

A shadow of what could have been
Becoming the whole of our sins

So imagine what a world it would be
If we all removed the mask of unanimity

Allowing our true self to be free
Never afraid of the face they might see
