Keep In Touch With Yourself Poem by Brian Stafford

Keep In Touch With Yourself

Rating: 5.0

You've got to pay attention,
keep a track of your mind;

Don't let them be the victors,
don't let them grind you down;

Today you met your shadow,
it got up and ran way;

Just like Jeckle in hiding,
from the darker side of the day;

Keep searching for the shadow,
and don't forget too...

Keep in touch...
Keep in touch...
Keep in touch, with yourself.

You've got to pay attention,
keep in touch with your mind;

As you wander through the hives,
don't let the bees get you down;

Keep your head in the clouds,
and your chin off the ground;

Just like Alice can't find wonderland,
with no looking glass around;

Keep looking for your way out,
and don't forget too...

Keep in touch...
Keep in touch...
Keep in touch, with yourself.

Self realization through your shadows, searching for a way out, paying attention to details in your life which may give you the strength to stay in touch with yourself. Very good and sage advice within this poem, a nice staccato beat keeping track of your lines. Very good, Brian! Please keep writing, nice style you have. Thank you for sharing, RoseAnn

Brilliant advice! I invite you to read my write, While You're Rising Up, as I sense we are on a similar path of realization. Excellent poem.
