Keep Up The God Work! Poem by Denis Martindale

You're ready, willing and able, and now set for each task,
You bring a lot to the table and just the Lord to ask.
Yet also help the saints who slipped who need a miracle,
Although they're silent and tight-lipped, the Father loves them all.
Who knows the headway that you'll make to ease their loneliness?
Perhaps the breakthrough they could take that God would grant to bless.
Did Peter always please the Lord? Or did he go astray?
At Pentecost, he preached assured upon that fateful day.

God's power came to bless Christ's friends, with not one saint left out,
Upon such grace, each saint depends as faith replaces doubt.
When God forgave them through His Son, despite their dismal past,
It showed the way God gets things done when saints still looked downcast.
When God refreshes mortal frames, of course, we praise the Lord,
When God revives God-given aims, He also grants reward.
Who knows the measure of His love? His patience blossoms still.
God knows the future well enough and works things to His will.

Though armies come and armies go, GOD WORKS behind the scenes,
Such empires He can overthrow each time He intervenes.
Jews learn the truth the saints have known through Jesus Christ, God's Son.
Though Israel seems to stand alone, God's perfect will gets done!
Think of the blessings God will share upon that fateful day!
Keep up the GOD WORK! Then by prayer, God's power comes to stay.
Keep up the GOD WORK! Then you'll find how Christ's grace proves enough,
Because it's shared to bless Mankind with God's eternal love.
