Kids, Flies & Other Stuff (A Book By Kenya Banks)

Kids, flies, other stuff and whatever else seems wise,
As seen through the vision of a caring, loving mom's eyes,
The Christian walk is sometimes a hazardous winding road,
It doesn't help when carrying a heavier than thou load.

Simplification is an un-natural process of maximum effect,
From minimum effort designed to guide, direct and protect,
Too much going on in and around our daily religious drive,
How in the world do we ever find the strength to get by?

Grab a bottle of water, cup of coffee or a glass of juice,
Find a quiet corner, shake off the dust, prepare to get loose,
Your mind becomes engulfed in the Word, enjoying the text,
Learn how to let the evil one's fiery darts have no effect.

Make an investment through Kenya's biblical insight,
Add the knowledge to be used as a guide for your life,
Learn how to focus by directing energies and might,
Separating good fruit from bad, knowing wrong vs. right.

Crawling comes before we are able to stand and walk,
Let the path shine, adorned by our words of kingdom talk,
Allow this reading to follow a path of intended recompense,
When Kenya Banks navigates you through life by common sense.

I became acquainted with Kenya worshiping Father God in church,
Praising our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus for all He is worth,
On the praise team, singing, a wife, mother, giving all she's got,
Being filled by the Holy Spirit, that's certainly quite a lot,

So many missed opportunities Satan uses to boggle the mind,
While Paul tells us to forget those things which are behind,
Going in the right direction? Doesn't matter on an empty tank,
Examine these questions and more with Sister Kenya Banks.
