Killer of Love
I am the worst sinner
More dangerous than Hitler
I buried the dreams of a naïve heart
Like a terrible gruesome killer.
I was a terrible betrayer,
But her love was profane and pure
I played with her passionate feeling
Though it was deplorable to abjure.
She loved me that was true
Because tears do not tell lies
Many a times I saw my image
In her lovely dark eyes.
In a lovely autumn day
She came with a bouquet of tulip
In her heart, there was a fragrant hope
That her promise-I would keep.
I was a brute-not humane
Possessing a rusty ruthless heart
I gave her bouquet back to her
And silently made her bound to depart.
Her love was lost forever
It was the desire of the Lord
I was made callous and brute
By the omnipotent God.

To be imprisoned by the mistakes of the heart, often a life sentence to serve in regretful solitude. You have penned the pain so clearly....and with an honest longing to recapture the goodness of love lost. Thoughtful and poignant poem.

Composition of the poem is okay! Without knowing the meaning of word you cannot write exactly what you are thinking and so, please pay attention to it before writing a poem or line. Yes, love cannot flourish without reciprocation. We must respect and honour true love!

Good write, Shakil. Hope you get another chance when you can make amends for your callous behaviour. Pray for such chance. I have a suggestion if you won't feel offended. Check the correct meaning of words before using them. For instance, profane has an opposite meaning and cannot go with pure.
