Killing Love Poem by Mike Burdick

Killing Love

Rating: 5.0

My blood flow slows
Dizzy I become, a weird feeling grows
Nothing sensed by my extraordinary nose

Buzzing secrets in my ears
My hands clap with shattering fears
Cupid is back to gather more tears

I remember, my feelings wont forget
Roaring my pain I rip his wings from his back
Tossing him in my mouth for a snack

Crunching on his backbone
Releasing the unknown
The wind circles around, Im alone

Can my imperfect love be resurrected
Will cupid survive if regurgitated
Wanting to crawl back in unprotected

Please heal the destruction of my insides
My bloody heart now fossilized.
