LORIE ROBERTSON

Kindred Spirits

Just two kindred spirits
Two very lonely souls
Traveling down different roads
Loneliness is their companion
By chance fate intervenes
A casual meeting between
Just two lonely souls
And as paths do cross
Love takes hold
Words are all but bold
Hearts melt
Feelings are felt
For two kindred spirits yield
Like flowers in a field
Their paths finally merge into one

Poem of the Day

poet Algernon Charles Swinburne

I hid my heart in a nest of roses,
Out of the sun's way, hidden apart;
In a softer bed than the soft white snow's is,
Under the roses I hid my heart.
