King Of My Life Poem by Johanna Kneissl

King Of My Life

My heart may be your glorious throne
As it’s no longer my own
What we have known
For so long, for so long.

I’ll place onto your holiest head the crown
Of my heart by deeply bending down.
And so you’ll be made the king of my town
Which is my life – now your life – you have won.

I’ll hand you over a mighty knife
For either killing or protecting that life
‘Cause I trust you from my innerst as I know you’re wise.
I don’t care what you do, whatever you do.

As long as it’s for sure that I’m with you.
I’ll be with you, my only you. You, king of my life.
