Kites Poem by Shruti Goswami

Kites

Some wayward skirmishes
And flying kites
Lost in chaos
Blazing sound bites
Some bubbles surfaced
Died a silent death
I wait for someone
To cut the kites.

Flying haywire
The kites
Flying nowhere
The fights
Growing beyond doubt
A frenzied dance
Ensue
As the kites
Lose air
Fall flat
On the ground.

Flying kites
Falling kites
Failing..
Kites.

Amazing articulation of life's situations that bring to us only dejection and despondency. I quote: Some bubbles surfaced / Died a silent death / As the kites / Lose air / Fall flat / On the ground.
