Treasure Island

Yashvardhan Goel

kitna dard deti hein ye yadein.

kitna dard deti hein ye yadein.
jab jati hein ye yadein. kyu ati he ye yadein.
gungunakar, kabhi muskurakar
kuch byan toh, kuch chupa jatin hein ye yadein.

yadein kyu reh jati hein yadein.
kuch bato ki yadein, kuch kisso ki yadein.
kisi ke sath rehkar, mulaqato me kehkar
kuch khatm toh kuch shuru kar jane ki yadian.

ye yadein bas reh jatin hein yadein.
khamosh lahar si, lamho me utar jati hein yadein.
shikan me de datak, udasi ko samajhkar
khyalo ko haqiqat se, juda kar jati hein yadein.

ye yadein bekarari ki yadein.
ye yadein gumnami ki yadein....
ye yadein kyu reh jatin hein yadein.
ye yadein hein jindgi jo hein jindgi ki yadein.

poet Alfred Lord Tennyson

It little profits that an idle king,
By this still hearth, among these barren crags,
Match'd with an aged wife, I mete and dole
Unequal laws unto a savage race,
