Knocking At The Door Poem by Crystal Dawn

Knocking At The Door

Lord, how long am I gonna keep tempting myself to sin?
I always push it too far.
Before I know it,
Sin's standing at my door,
Asking to come in.
I start to pray,
But the knocking is too loud.
I begin to justify that
You'll forgive me anyway,
But I've worked too hard
To lose ground now.
I doubt my faith and wonder
If I 'm sacrificing for nothing.
But Your conviction is so strong,
And I don't like being disciplined.
Lord, I'm worn out.
Please make it go away.
I'm sorry I ever
Invited him over
In the first place.
