Knots Of Love Poem by Gilbert Grape

Knots Of Love

Rating: 5.0

One
Flat, convex, dressed in solid angles
Such were the shapes of your armor
Glassy, bluesy, fading-in that cup of tea

Two
Logarithmic, serial, complex
Those were the minutes spent with you
Over that distance when you colored my face

(Perhaps in the slow movement of an integer number
I will count those old curtains pulling up and down)

Three
Mugs in the morning embracing fully your legs
While you walked away on those second hand shoes
You bought at a garage sale

Four
For the chronic time stepping our distances
Was so deep and wide
Yet so metallic, so sweet as well

Five
In a convergent symbol I await
Brain open, eyes shut
A liquid dream of images pouring out my mind

Six
The itchy sound of your cup getting cold
Told me once to embrace your secrets, your lies, your truth

Seven
To hold on to your undetermined solution
Of that three order equation never written, never thought.

(The rest were concentric skies, lines, more angles and odds…)

Yes… that feasible presence staring us,

Always….

Eight
Nine.
Ten
Eleven…
