You do not truly know yourself
Unless you confront yourself
In the darkness to three a.m...
No lights to shelter you
Surrounding you in fake daylight
No music to hide the whispers of fear
No moon, no stars, nothing...
Just you
With nothing between you and th dark
You face the demons
In your soul
And see their true face
Then knowing them
They are conquer you...
Are you game
to take that chance? ...
I'm not
I nave never been as scared in my llife
As i was last night.
I raced to the seize the torch
To protect myself
I know th dark within
And so not want to see
It's true face...
The veiled shadows are more than enough
Forme
Just thinking avout them sends a chill down my spine
I do not meed to see to belive
In the darkness in my soul
I know it is there...
And i fear
That it is stronger
Than I...
Only to turn into the enemy
In which i am willing to dwell beneath
The anger to deal without the fight
Yet remain unnoticed and unsure
About all the questions in life
It is then that you know yourself...
It seems 2 me that u've been eating shroomz! ! ! ! ! :) Just kidd'n.Nice write. Face u'r demons! ! ! ! ! ! Peace, Alan
Cora, this is an extraordinary poem for two reasons - it is objective and observational and it is expressed with great maturity. Apart from a need for proof-reading you have managed a genuinely worthy poem here. Rgds, Ivan
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
I would like to translate this poem
In your soul And see their true face....Demonic qualities one should leave away. Good qualities should be within light. This poem is amazing!
