Kudos, Barack Obama Poem by Hannington Mumo

Kudos, Barack Obama

Rating: 5.0

(THE BEGINNING LETTERS OF THE LINES MAKE THE TITLE, ''KUDOS BARACK OBAMA'')

Kenya feels ennobled to celestial heights,
Utter pride prevails and every heart delights,
Dreams you’ve knocked into the hearts of the young;
Odds and impossibilities have become far-flung,
So near and dear is hope that knows no bounds!

Barry, what panacea is known to your heart,
Against which no wall of incapacity can itself assert?
Reality you achieved out of a dream so lofty,
Attainment acquired after a price no doubt hefty,
Care and delicacy must have been your main stay;
Kamikaze moves would have marred your precarious way.

Others were near to pat your deserving back,
But since the youngest puppy last learns how to bark;
After two years of your epoch-marking feat,
My congratulations fly the forbidding miles in a fleet,
All as one do shout: kudos, Barack Obama!
