Label Me Dreamer Poem by Anella Benjamin

Label Me Dreamer

There was a story I was told
Of a girl that was bold
She belonged nowhere.
The story stood in my mind
Too far over time and now there is a tear.
I sit a ponder to myself
If I told the goose who stole the egg
would I have food to eat?
Starving is what I'm use to, so why change the rules?
Nowhere is still better than here my dear.
The tale was true
Is now all new?
They still believe their own
Dose it erase the doubt?
The message is out!
So pick up the phone.
