Lady Thunderstorm Poem by Paul G. Kallen

Lady Thunderstorm

Rating: 2.8

The weather is windy, the clouds are black,
Her body is shaken by the surge of delight.
The flashes of lightning, the sounds of crack —
It rains cats and dogs but she feels alright.

She runs outside, she is festive and brave
To dance in the rain and to keep life alive.
One can be amazed at this way to behave —
In odd time the spirit of joy did arrive.

Soaked to the skin, she raises her hand
Saluting the sky for the lovely charge.
She says that she lives in the fairyland —
The reason for her to be happy at large.
