Land Conversion Poem by Lori Messenger

Land Conversion

Rating: 3.1

On the chaise lounge
Beer in hand
Watching air tankers rotating in and out of firebase.
After Friday night's dry lightning storm
Big Sky Country has become Big Smoke Country
Lots of blazes taking off to the West
Where an orange glow lines the nighttime horizon.
Elk and Mule Deer habitat improvement in progress.
