Landscape 34-Shadow Mountain Poem by Stewart McKenzie

Landscape 34-Shadow Mountain

Road mirror recedes before me
On my way to Shadow Mountain
Sliprock scramble into thin air
Up on Shadow Mountain

On Shadow Mountain there is a house
Go round the mountain
On the far side is another house
Identical in every detail

There is only one place
On Shadow Mountain
Where I never see the sun
Only one
