Latent Tears Poem by Sylvia Lukeman

Latent Tears

Latent tears
Restrained by
Her need
To hold herself
Together.

On the surface
All was well.
She smiled
And made others laugh

Latent tears
Remained unshed.
Who knows how many
Wait impatiently
To trickle and pour
Down her face

Yet they remain
In dark place

Send in the tears...
Don't worry they're here. **
