Laverne Poem by Jeanette Telusma

Laverne

Rating: 5.0

Laverne is what I call a true friend.
She is one that stands as a pioneer among many.
But very few know of this fact.
From the break of dawn she awakes with purpose on her mind.
I have never meet a person so selfless.
She starts her day by inspiring others.
Her words are sent to awaken the slumbered.
As a habit she gathers her friends around her
Simply to sit together and have fellowship.
It's always a treat to meet up with her and the others.
It's a time to sit, eat and chat a little.
She has an unmatchable persona.
Words from her lips are always words of wisdom.
Outwardly she appears to be a tough lioness
But her heart is golden.
She is very thoughtful indeed.
Idle words and negativity remain at a distance.
She's a friend that has made her way to my heart.
I see her as a sister, my sister.
It's a blessing to have her in my life.
May the Lord continue to bless and inspire her.
May He grant her heart's desire because
Her desires are after God's own heart.
May God open doors of opportunities for her
And may her wisdom lead her always.
