Lay Scattered On The Ground Poem by JoJo Bean, Dodgy Dave and Meggie Gultiano

Lay Scattered On The Ground

Rating: 5.0

The sun was shining in the clear blue sky
The moon was high in the darkened night sky
The snow fell gently to the earth
As the wind whipped up the leaves
The leaves that lay scattered on the ground

Worlds apart we are
You savoring the suns rays
While I sit quietly in the cold dead of night
I hear your voice carried on the wind
But the leaves whisper their hush
And your words lay scattered on the ground

I feel the emptiness inside me
I wanted to embrace your words
Lay scattered on the ground
Saying I love you till the end
But the leaves whisper their hush

'But the leaves whisper their hush' is just beautiful, beautiful. And the whole poem sad and evocatively penned. At first I wondered who wrote which line, and then I said to myself - what does it matter? The finished product is quite delightful. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Really very beautiful. The first collaboration I've seen on this site.
