Lazy Morning Poem by Justin Zahn

Lazy Morning

Woke up late
and then looked around.
Stared at the mess
and the clothes on the ground.
The room was in shambles;
buried under dust.
The strong scent of food
under grime and muck.
Beneath the floor
lied stains of filth,
from the parties I've had
and a large glass of milk.
After a look
at the horrible clutter.
I jeered at the clock
and then I muttered.
'1: 30's too early;
I need more rest.'
So I closed my eyes
and went back to bed.
