Learning To Fall Poem by Nedra Pepin

Learning To Fall

I'm learning to fall. I can barely see,
The sky in front of me.

I'm falling so fast, I'm loosing my breath.
I wonder if I will be plummeting to my death.

I'm only scared of no one being at the bottom to catch me.
I can't die. Not now. Not today. You see.

I pray someone will listen to my calls. I pray they won't ignore.
I count as I fall. One, two, three, four. There's more

And look! There he is!
'I told you I would catch you' he says

My love. My hero.
My life. My hope

I won't have to go threw this again.
I was going out of my mind. But now, he keeps me sane

Some one did care. To catch me in my falling hour.
My light house. My safe place. My tower.

This was my fight.
I hope, and wish, that you will survive yours.
Good luck.
