Leaving You Poem by CaielaTerese Sullivan

Leaving You

The tears have dried.
My soul is lost.
My smile it falters.
Yet where are you?

You've remained where I left you last.
I can't return though.
My heart aches for you,
but I must turn away.

You don't deserve what I've put you through.
I mustn't look back.
To hurt you, would be the end.
The end of life as I knew it.

You've remained where I left you last.
I can't return though.
My heart aches for you,
but I must turn away.

The memories I will cherish.
Your voice so clear and kind.
I'll leave here quickly I promise.
Before I forget what I must do.

You've remained where I left you last.
I can't return though.
My heart aches for you,
but I must turn away.

My love is never-ending.
My heart will cease to still.
My mind will fight against me.
Yet I walk away
