Left An Impression

Rating: 5.0

Optimistic I was while invading thick foggy weather on a gloomy night,
Not knowing what action will I take against next incoming hurdle.
Confident about finding some hidden mysteries of winter life.
I was moving ahead in a vast barren field, at the foothills of Himalaya.
To my amazement I saw a lonely traveller moving in unsteady steps.
Ignoring him I walked past him and continued my soulful venture.
Neither he nor did I care to ask each other, what both of us were doing.
After sometime, I got exasperated and wanted to know what he was doing.
I interrogated him to know who he was and what he was doing there.
His eyes were gleaming, blissfully he replied to my obvious question-

Sir, I am a lost trekker of life moving in search of my lost family.
My family was none other my small and lovely daughter-Sikha.
Her mother, who was living divine goddess, left us at her birth.
Have explored every nook and corner of this pious country.
I am marred down to make any effort to get her back.
Henceforth I am now moving ahead towards Great Himalayas,
In search of an untraded place, where I may lie down in peace.
Saying this he moved ahead forgetting whom he was talking to.

He had gone and his presence could no more be felt.
For sure he had left a long lasting impression on me.
After thinking about him, winter life had only one meaning-
It was not as troublesome as it looked, for a troubled person.
The pain that cold caused, was much lesser when compared,
To the pain of being lonely and losing our beloved ones.
Therefore pain of having someone away from us is eternal
And all others like that of winter's cold is exodus and avoidable.
