Legacy Ii Poem by lamia harker

Legacy Ii

So,
here I sit,
wondering upon all these things
as tears fall down my cheeks
and stain them gray;
ever wondering.. Ever wanting.

There upon the telegraph pole
came to me words
I never thought I’d read,
and there,
like serpents laid within the grass
I found the muse of all promise.

Here and there she whispered through
thought and intent
as if reading my every want
and hidden desire.
