Les Twentyman the social worker to love of others and compassion is true
For helping the street kids of Melbourne more credit than he receives he is due
For the homeless and drug addicted teenagers he does more than any one person should do
The World is better for him living in it though his type of person too few.

By many not seen as a hero as his type of person seldom are
Unlike the elite sportsperson or high profile politician or the World renowned pop or movie star
But his type of person far better since their own selves they never promote
They are the World's best quiet achievers and their work is more worthy of note.

The champion of the homeless street kids he is one who is kind of heart
Les Twentyman surely a great man from all others he stand apart
His life he devotes to the have nots 'tis by good example he lead
Of the Melbourne poor a true hero though more of his type we do need.

Les Twentyman is one in a billion and his praises i feel proud to sing
He is blessed with the great gift of compassion and that is such a marvellous thing
He works hard on behalf of the homeless and he is always promoting their case
And amongst the outcasts of Melbourne his is a well known and loved face.
