not everything, just anything,
but this.
dead wires, empty light bulbs,
don't fix.
mystic, cynic, alien:
prove that I exist.

carbon monoxide mouth, eyes
desensitive.
live like a mirror; taste
anesthetic.
blacked-out, burned-out, bleached-out soul:
photo negative.

falling, like smoke, slipping into
reverse.
walk off the anti-freeze: overdose:
repairs.
in neutral; interstellar; dream in
second, dream in first.

a wishbone in the throat, snapping
so to speak.
fluid through the veins; electrifying
bleach.
king of limbo; queen of heaven; self inspector;
freak.

not nothing. not something. intangible;
don't know.
outside souls; inside walls; dry up, give in...
crumble.
mirror, shadow, soul-mate:
let me see you.
let me go.
