I will never know how
It feels to love you.
To protect and anchor you

Will never have memories
Of our past
Nor dreams of our future

If I let you go
Never will I know
The sound of your laughter
Or the radiance of your smile

I can’t stop hoping
That you realise that I’m here for us
I will not play you like dice
Or sort you like rice
Instead I will treat you like ice
And hold you so that you don’t melt
