Let It Fly Poem by Muhammad Yusuf Musa

Let It Fly

Rating: 5.0

Let it fly

You cannot chain your passion
In the dungeon of desperation
You cannot imprison your heart's desire
In the cell of fear
You cannot cage your gift
For a promise never to come

The stars don't go dim for the fear of moon's dominance
The grasses don't wilt for the mere presence of mahogany.
The squirrel doesn't quiver because lion is in the jungle

So let it fly

Let the nightingale sings its melodies
When the planet seems soulless.

Let the eagle beat its wings and fly in the endless sky
For as strong the wind might be
It cannot bring it down
It can only make it stronger.

Let it fly
Set it free.
