Let Love Plant Seed

Just what is love and what’s its source?
How does it come to be?
What is its plan what is its course?
What can it do for me?

What is the truth of love’s domain?
How does your answer sound?
Does it’s caress become in vane?
Upon your fallowed ground

Just four letters a humble word
We hear and speak each day
But once revealed and truly heard
Its power will all dismay

Let love lay wide our arms and doors
Whatever fools may say
Upholding God’s eternal laws
Will surely win the day

Love is the way to endless life
To streets of purest gold
The way to end all foolish strife
The root to joy untold

Love is the path through Heaven’s gate
God’s chosen cup of wine
His daily food upon our plate
The gift from Christ divine

Love is the seed to endless peace
The fruit of selfless choice
For tortured souls the swift release
Who’ll hearken to its voice

Conflicts and wars will bend their knee
Through love cold hearts will burn
The meanest spirit will be free
To give it in return
