Let Me Be Your Honeybun Poem by Jimmy Lyons

Let Me Be Your Honeybun

Girl, you have lovely hair -
let me be your teddy bear.
The night is young;
let's act like teenagers and have some fun.

You get me in a groove -
you put me in the mood.
Girl, let's wine and dine,
and talk on the telephone line.

Girl, you're singing my song
all night till the break of dawn.
It's getting kind of sunny,
but I've still got some money.

Girl, will you be my honeybun?
I want to get with you, so be my boo.
